Coming Fall 2014

Split the Cheq combines progressive Detroit hip-hop with California blue-eyed soul in a unique musical endeavor the world didn't even know it's been waiting for. Langston Hues, a black kid from Detroit and Spendthrift, a white boy from Sacramento, join forces under the impeccable musical direction of DJ Anas Canon to create this generation's ebony and ivory. Langston and Spendthrift, both 26 years old, are from different walks of life and different ends of the map who found a particular magical connection in the space between hip-hop, soul, funk and RnB. With Spendthrift providing the vocals hooks and additional arrangements and Langston classy rhyme schemes, Split the Cheq represents our times and intends to create new space through aural exploration. Prepare your ears for some STC.
